The Alarik Rug is a considered choice for anyone drawn to handcrafted textiles with genuine narrative.
Its design celebrates Barbro Nilsson's legacy of Swedish weaving, and the hand-dyed wool and cotton construction means each piece carries subtle colour variation—a feature, not a flaw. The aged terracotta grounds itself beautifully in lived-in interiors, working equally well anchoring a sitting room or adding warmth to a bedroom. At 244×305cm, it's substantial enough for larger living spaces without overwhelming. Hand-spun yarns do benefit from gentle vacuuming and occasional professional care to maintain their integrity over time.
