It's handcrafted from highly sought-after burl wood - this is a cross section of the knots that form on trees, and so features a swirling pattern referred to as a 'wild grain', that requires highly skilled craftsmen in order to cut it without splitting the wood. Due to the material and artisanal techniques used for this mirror, each piece will have individual characteristics that add to their charm.
