Its sturdy recycled-elm frame – the wood sourced from the beams, doors, walls and floors of derelict homes in China – is upholstered in sumptuous fawn-coloured velvet offset by linen piping in dark caramel. The classic shape, which envelops you in its embrace, adds to its charm.
