Talasa Side Table - Red

£295

Our Talasa Side Table is named after the Greek word for 'sea', in homage to its hand-carved undulating edge that resembles a wave. The scalloped shape was originally applied to a tray which was, in turn, based upon an antique. The mango wood is hand painted a matte red before the edges are rubbed to reveal the wood beneath. Due to the manual technique, each piece will have individual characteristics that add to their charm.

Interior Design Perspective

The Talasa Side Table is one of those pieces that earns its place through genuine craftsmanship rather than trend-chasing.

Hand-carved from mango wood with a signature scalloped edge inspired by ocean waves, it brings organic movement and texture to a room in a way mass-produced tables simply can't match. The rich red finish adds warmth without demanding a full color overhaul—it works beautifully as an accent piece in neutral living rooms or paired with earthy, bohemian schemes. Best suited to spaces that appreciate artisanal detail over minimalism. Fair warning: mango wood develops a natural patina over time, which we think adds character, though it does require occasional dusting to keep the carved details from trapping debris.
